Description
Hi AllHere a new dragon artwork from me,
this time in black and whites according to my client's wishes.
I usually paint dragons aggressive, this time I wanted to depict something a bit more 'peaceful'
The rock structures are inspired by Superman's Kryptonite.
The scales are painted one by one with individual attention to each scale.
A rock texture is used
Painted with PS CS3 and Wacom Graphire4 tablet
This will get printed on black tee's and posters
PLEASE view fullsize thanks!

Beautiful details, what a handsome dragon

What type of transfer will be used for this? Terrible to know that the details will be lost during the transfer process of a possible 55lpi.
I like the angle shot you have given this, and the noble pose/demeanor.

also nice work on the sky.

Zeyneb: It took me about 90 hours to finish this image
Manifestant: Actually the quality of the tee printings are surprisingly good; it's done with 75 dpi but its enough to see (most) of the details
Rachael: wow that is so cool

You have overdone yourself!
One of your definite best works imo!

The only thing about the design that bothers me a bit are the somewhat short wings, but I guess that's personal taste.
Again, incredible work, amazing technique.

I like a lot the little birds you added - they give a great idea on how big this dragon actually is. Very nifty.
I think the wings looks a bit "strange". Usually wings are wider and longer at the end, but then they wouldn't fit inside the canvas.
Faaaantastic painting!
